For this hotel, we try to provide visual richness required by our client while keeping things simple. Most surfaces and materials will have their inherent colours, instead of being painted over. The lobby floor is in coloured cement render with resin. Walls and ceiling are coloured plaster. Glass panels will be in tinted gold. Guest rooms will have solid timber flooring and bronze anodised aluminium frames to bathrooms. We hope to get away from the usual beige marble, dark wood, brushed stainless steel, cove lighting look of conventional hotels.
